| Vaccines must be current and a copy of the record provided to Handler with a valid rabies certificate.
Client is responsible for making entries, unless other arrangements have been made with Handler.
Please understand, I only book a certain number of dogs for any given show. If you have asked me to show your dog at a particular show, I count on that dog to be there. I must know for sure if you want me to show your dog by the Monday, two days prior to the show closing on Wednesday. This allows me enough time to book another dog for that show, or to cancel with other clients if necessary. If you cancel any time after that Monday, all handling fees (and travel expenses, if your dog was to be traveling with me) will still apply. Exceptions will be made for illness accompanied by a veterinarian's letter, or in extreme emergencies at the discretion of Handler.
Requests for handling any time after the show closes are always welcome – but priority will be given to those dogs that made their requests before the show closes.
Ringside requests are also welcome if I am already at a show, if I have no time conflicts, I am happy to take on other dogs.
Ringside handling fees are collected at ringside, unless you are an established client.
Fifty percent (50%) of all fees will be collected in advance for all circuits. The balance is due 10 days after the invoice date, unless alternate arrangements have been made.
I will provide the Client with invoices (including placements and judges' names for recording purposes), prizes, and ribbons as soon as possible after each show. All cash awards shall remain in Handler's possession.
When a dog is traveling with me, I would like to the client to supply me with a credit card number for emergency veterinary services. I realize that some do not wish to provide this information. In such instances, the client must be available to give that info to the vet by phone. I am unable to provide funding for large veterinary bills. If for any reason the dog requires veterinary attention, any fees paid by me must be reimbursed immediately.
I agree to provide reasonable care and control for the dog and to maintain sanitary and secure housing. You agree to hold me harmless for any damage to the dog while in my care such as illness, theft, escape, or injury from other animals. You, the owner, authorize me, the handler, to employ the services of a licensed veterinarian in an emergency or when I deem it necessary.
Any medications, special diet requirements, or supplements are at Client's expense, and shall be carried out by Handler as per Client's request.
Client represents that he/she has no outstanding balance with any other professional handler.
Every effort will be made by Handler to show the Client's dog at each competition. However in the event of a conflict, the Handler may, at her discretion have another qualified handler show the dog. Client remains responsible for handling fee. I will make every effort to find someone who will work with your dog and that your dog will respond to. If another qualified person is not available, the dog will be marked absent and the client will not be charged the handling fee for that day.
Priority is given to dogs that are shown full-time, ranked by seniority (longevity with Handler). Adult classes are typically priority over puppy classes. However, Handler reserves the right to make an exception at her discretion. Should you be unclear as to your seniority status, please ask.
